Abstract
Description
I.CMC基板
基板は一実施形態ではセラミック基複合材(CMC)材料を含有する。本明細書にいう「CMC」は、ケイ素含有もしくは酸化物−酸化物のマトリックス及び強化材料を指す。本明細書において用いることが許容されるCMCの例として、ケイ素系の非酸化物材料(例えば、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、酸炭化ケイ素、酸窒化ケイ素、及びその混合物)を含有するマトリックス及び強化繊維を有する材料を挙げることができるが、これらには限定されない。例として、炭化ケイ素マトリックスと炭化ケイ素繊維とを有するCMC、窒化ケイ素マトリックスと炭化ケイ素繊維とを有するCMC、炭化ケイ素/窒化ケイ素マトリックス混合物と炭化ケイ素繊維とを有するCMC、が挙げられるが、これらには限定されない。さらに、CMCは酸化物セラミックで構成されるマトリックス及び強化繊維を有することができる。そのような酸化物−酸化物複合材料について以下に説明する。
II.金属基板
他の実施形態では、基板は超合金材料(例えば、ニッケル基超合金、コバルト基超合金、チタン基超合金、又は鉄基超合金)を含有する。被膜(上述のようにLn2ABO8の化合物を含有する)は、かかる超合金上の遮熱コーティング(「TBC」)として機能することができる。例えば、本明細書のTBCは、高温環境(例えば、ガスタービンエンジン内に存在するもの)中に置かれる超合金基板の部品(例えば、燃焼器部品、タービンブレード、シュラウド、ノズル、熱シールド、及びベーン)において用いるのに好適でありうる。
III.摩耗層
上述した式:Ln2ABO8の化合物は、基板上の任意の種類のTBC系又はEBC系の外部露出面を形成する摩耗被膜としても利用できる。摩耗被膜は、単一層から形成することもできるし、複数層から形成することもできる。例えば、諸実施形態の摩耗層26は、連続緻密層(例えば、多孔率が約15%未満)、連続多孔層(例えば、多孔率が約15%超)、及び/又はあるパターンで配列された緻密な(例えば、多孔率が約15%未満)摩耗突起列(abradable ridge)から形成することができる。

- 基板(12)と、

を有する化合物を含有する遮断被膜(16)と、
を備え、
Lnはスカンジウム、イットリウム、ランタン、セリウム、プラセオジム、ネオジム、プロメチウム、サマリウム、ユーロピウム、ガドリニウム、テルビウム、ジスプロシウム、ホルミウム、エルビウム、ツリウム、イッテルビウム、ルテチウム、又はその混合物を含み、
AはSi、Ti、Ge、Sn、Ce、Hf、Zr、又はその組合せを含み、
BはMo、W、又はその組合せを含む、
被覆基板(10)。 - Lnはスカンジウム(Sc)、イットリウム(Y)、ランタン(La)、セリウム(Ce)、プラセオジム(Pr)、ネオジム(Nd)、プロメチウム(Pm)、サマリウム(Sm)、ユーロピウム(Eu)、ガドリニウム(Gd)、テルビウム(Tb)、ジスプロシウム(Dy)、ホルミウム(Ho)、エルビウム(Er)、ツリウム(Tm)、イッテルビウム(Yb)、ルテチウム(Lu)、及びその混合物から成る群から選択される、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- Lnはイットリウムを含む、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- BはMoを含む、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 化合物は式:

(ただし、0≦x≦約0.5)
を有する、請求項4に記載の被覆基板(10)。 - BはW、又はMoとWとの組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 化合物は式:
Ln2AMoxW1-xO8
(ただし、0≦x≦約0.5)
を有する、請求項6に記載の被覆基板(10)。 - AはSiを含む、請求項7に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 化合物は式:
Ln2SiyA1-yMoxW1-xO8
(ただし、
0≦x≦約0.5であり、
0<y≦約0.5であり、
AはTi、Ge、Sn、Ce、Hf、Zr、又はその組合せである)
を有する、請求項8に記載の被覆基板(10)。 - 化合物は式:Y2SiMoO8を有する、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- AはHf及び/又はZrを含む、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 化合物はジルコン結晶構造又はシーライト(灰重石)構造を含む、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 基板(12)はセラミック基複合材を含有し、被覆基板(10)は基板(12)と遮断被膜(16)との間に配置されたボンドコート層(14)をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- ボンドコート層(14)はケイ素、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、ケイ化モリブデン、ケイ化レニウム、又はその組合せを含有する、請求項13に記載の被覆基板(10)。
- 被覆基板(10)は遮断被膜(16)の上の外側被覆層(24)をさらに備え、外側被覆層(24)はLn2SiO5を含有し、Lnはスカンジウム(Sc)、イットリウム(Y)、ランタン(La)、セリウム(Ce)、プラセオジム(Pr)、ネオジム(Nd)、プロメチウム(Pm)、サマリウム(Sm)、ユーロピウム(Eu)、ガドリニウム(Gd)、テルビウム(Tb)、ジスプロシウム(Dy)、ホルミウム(Ho)、エルビウム(Er)、ツリウム(Tm)、イッテルビウム(Yb)、ルテチウム(Lu)、又はその混合物である、請求項1に記載の被覆基板(10)。
