Description
(1)励起イオンを伴うガス放電をもたらし得るような高電圧が必要
(2)高エネルギーUV量子の放出
(3)それ相応に短い耐用時間
従って、これらの欠点を克服するような装置のニーズが今なお存在する。
本発明のある実施態様では、光のパターンを発光、即ち放射する発光ダイオードを含む装置を提供する。この装置は、さらに、一般式(Ba1-x-y-zSrxCay)2SiO4:Euz(但し、0≦x≦1, 0≦y≦1, 0<z<1 である。)である燐光体を含む燐光体組成物を含むものである。
この燐光体は、支持体成分(ホスト)としてアルカリ土類ケイ酸塩格子と、添加物としての2価のユウロピウムとを含み、この組成物は光のパターンにあわせて置かれる。
このような燐光体の高い消光温度のため、このような装置は、特にチップ温度が150℃を超えるよな場合に高効率を呈する。
特に、燐光体が薄膜層に含まれている場合には、燐光体の高い消光温度が利点となる。
CaS:Ce, Cl、
Li2SrSiO4:Eu、
(Sr1-xCax)SiO4:Eu(但し、0≦x<1 である。)、
(Y1-xGdx)3(Al1-yGay)5O12:Ce(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1 である。)、及び
(Sr1-x-yBaxCay)2Si5N8:Eu(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1 である。)、
からなる群から選択されるような赤色燐光体とを含む燐光体組成物を具える発光装置を提供する。このような燐光体組成物の放射スペクトルは、必要とされる色温度で優れた演色を持つ高品質の白色光とLEDの青色光とを一緒に得るために適切な波長を持つ。
(Sr1-x-yBaxCay)S:Eu(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1である。)、
CaS:Ce, Cl、
Li2SrSiO4:Eu、
(Sr1-xCax)SiO4:Eu(但し、0≦x<1 である。)、
(Y1-xGdx)3(Al1-yGay)5O12:Ce(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1 である。)、及び
(Sr1-x-yBaxCay)2Si5N8:Eu(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1 である。)、
からなる群から選択する。
(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02の調製
15.009(76.01mmol)BaCO3、11.22(76.01mmol)SrCO3、0.546(1.55mmol)EU203、及び4.809(79090mmol)SiO2をエタノールのなかで懸濁させる。溶媒を攪拌させながら蒸発させ、次にNH4Clを乾燥させた粉末に加える。この物質が完全に瑪瑙乳鉢ですりつぶした後、この物質をアルミナ坩堝に入れ、600℃で0.5時間加熱する。粉末を再度すりつぶし、得られた粉末をN2/H2存在下で4時間1100℃から1200℃までの間で熱処理する。N2/H2存在下で室温まで冷却し、粉末を粉砕し36μmの篩でふるいにかける。
このようにして調製された(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02の分光特性は、70%のQE460nm、80%のAbs460nm、483[lm/W]のLE、色点(colour point)x=0.24、y=0.65である。
(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02とSr2Si5N8:Euとを具える白色LED
(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02とSr2Si5N8:Euとを含む燐光体混合物をシリコンモノマーオイルのなかで懸濁させ、この懸濁液の液滴をInGaNのダイ(die)にうえに置く。触媒をこのシリコンモノマーに加えて重合プロセスを開始させ、その結果シリコンが硬化する。最終的にLEDをプラスチックのキャップで密閉する。
(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02とSrS:Euとを具える白色LED
(Ba0.49Sr0.49)2SiO4:Eu0.02とSrS:Euとを含む燐光体混合物はをシリコンモノマーオイルのなかで懸濁させ、この懸濁液の液滴をInGaNのダイ(die)にうえに置く。触媒をこのシリコンモノマーに加えて重合プロセスを開始させ、その結果シリコンが硬化する。最終的にLEDをプラスチックのキャップで密閉する。
Claims (8)
- 一般式(Ba1-x-y-zSrxCay)2SiO4:Euz(但し、0≦x≦1, 0≦y≦1, 0<z<1 である。)である燐光体及び一般式(Sr1-x-yBaxCay)S:Eu(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1である。)である赤色燐光体を含む燐光体組成物と、光のパターンを発光するLEDとを具える発光装置。
- 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
前記発光装置が450nmから480nmまでの波長で発光する、ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
前記燐光体組成物が薄膜層に含まれている、ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
前記LEDが青色発光LEDである、ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
一般式(Ba1-x-y-zSrxCay)2SiO4:Euz(但し、0≦x≦1, 0≦y≦1, 0<z<1 である。)である燐光体が緑色燐光体である、
ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
前記発光装置がランプである、ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 請求項1に記載の発光装置において、
前記発光装置が交通標識である、ことを特徴とする発光装置。 - 一般式(Ba1-x-y-zSrxCay)2SiO4:Euz(但し、0≦x≦1, 0≦y≦1, 0<z<1 である。)である燐光体及び一般式(Sr1-x-yBaxCay)S:Eu(但し、0≦x<1, 0≦y<1である。)である赤色燐光体を含む燐光体組成物。
