Description
つづいて、上述の封口装置100の使用方法について説明する。まず、図1の状態から、予め、空気圧シリンダ82を駆動して、ハニカム構造体70を保持する保持具81上方に引き上げておくと共に、マスク170を弾性板20上から外しておく。次に、ポンプ50のピストン53を下方に引くことにより、本体部10の凹部10dから流体FLを下方に排出させる。これにより、図5の(a)に示すように、弾性板20が変形して凹部10dの側面10b及び底面10cに密着し、これによって、弾性板20の凹部20dが形成する。
封口材130は、ハニカム構造体70の貫通孔70aの端部を閉鎖できるものであれば特に限定されないが、液状であることが好ましい。例えば、封口材として、セラミクス材料又はセラミクス原料と、バインダと、溶媒とを含むスラリーが例示できる。
例えば、凹部10dを上から見た平面形状は、円形以外に楕円形、矩形、正方形等とすることもできる。この場合、矩形や正方形の場合の大きさは、例えば、一辺50〜300mmとすることができる。また、本体部10の上面10aに対して、側面10bが垂直、かつ、底面10cが平行である必要は無く、例えば、斜面であったり曲面であってもよい。
Claims (4)
- 凹部及び前記凹部の内面に開口する連通路を有する本体部と、
前記凹部を覆うように前記本体部に固定された弾性板と、
前記連通路に接続されたポンプと、を備えた封口装置。 - 前記弾性板は、ゴム板である請求項1記載の封口装置。
- 前記弾性板の上に配置され、複数の貫通孔を有するマスクをさらに備える請求項1又は2記載の封口装置。
- 前記弾性板の上において前記本体部に対してハニカム構造体を固定する状態と、前記本体部から離れる方向に前記ハニカム構造体を移動可能とする状態と、を切替える、保持部をさらに備える請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載の封口装置。
