参照により本明細書に組み込まれている、2005年5月18日に出願した米国特許出願第11/131,583号の優先権の利益をここに主張するものである。
除細動システムなどの抗頻拍性不整脈システムが、無線通信によって互いに通信する少なくとも2つの物理的に分離したモジュールを含む。多くのシステムの実施形態が、図1A〜8Bに示されている。モジュールは、それが体内に埋め込まれたときに物理的に分離した他の構成要素と共に使用される構成要素である。例えば図1Aでは、モジュール105は、モジュール110と共に使用され、モジュール110から物理的に分離している。
図1は、モジュール式抗頻拍性不整脈治療システム100の実施形態である。一実施形態では、抗頻拍性不整脈システム100は、協調治療を行うために協力する2つの分離した抗頻拍性不整脈治療モジュール105、110を含む。モジュール105は2つの電極106、107を含み、モジュール110は2つの電極111、112を含む。一実施形態では、モジュール105、106はそれぞれ、密封された電子回路ユニットを含む。一実施形態では、密封された電子回路ユニットは、ハウジングとヘッダを含み、電極106、107、111、112は、ハウジング上又はヘッダ上に位置するか、あるいはモジュール・ヘッダに結合されたリードに収容される。一実施形態では、モジュール105は、電極106から心臓101の一部を経由して電極107へ抗頻拍性不整脈治療を行い、モジュール110は、電極111から心臓101の一部を経由して電極112へ抗頻拍性不整脈治療を行う。一実施形態では、モジュールは、無線通信によって互いに通信する。一実施形態では、モジュール105、110は、無線通信によって、抗頻拍性不整脈治療を調整するか又は同期させる。
Claims (19)
- 第1の除細動ショックを送り出すように構成された埋込み可能な第1の除細動回路モジュールと、
前記第1の除細動ショックと同時に第2の除細動ショックを送り出すように構成された、前記第1の除細動回路モジュールから物理的に分離した埋込み可能な第2の除細動回路モジュールと、
前記第1の除細動ショック及び前記第2の除細動ショックの協調した送り出しを命令するように構成されたコントローラ回路と、
前記第1及び第2の除細動回路モジュールから物理的に分離した第1の検出回路と
を備え、前記第1の検出回路は、生理的パラメータを検出するように構成されたセンサと、前記コントローラ回路に無線通信を送信するための無線送信器回路とを含み、前記第1の検出回路は、心臓又は脈管構造のうちの少なくとも一方の中に埋込まれるように形成されかつ構成される、モジュール式埋込可能装置。 - 前記コントローラ回路が、前記第1及び第2の除細動回路モジュールの少なくとも一方に無線で通信可能に結合される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記コントローラ回路が、前記第1の除細動回路及び第2の除細動回路を外すことなく、皮下に埋め込まれかつ外されるように形成されかつ構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記コントローラ回路が、前記第1の検出回路から受信された前記生理的パラメータから導出された情報を分析して抗頻拍性不整脈治療を決定するように構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、固有の電気心信号を検出するためのセンス増幅回路を含み、前記無線通信が、前記固有の電気心信号から導出された情報を含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、心音を検出するための心音センサを含み、前記無線通信が、前記心音から導出された情報を含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、呼吸を測定するための呼吸センサを含み、前記無線通信が、前記呼吸から導出された情報を含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の除細動回路から分離した埋込み可能な第3の回路をさらに含み、前記第3の回路が、横隔膜ペーシングパルスを送り出すための横隔膜刺激回路を含む、請求項7に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の除細動回路から分離した埋込み可能な第3の回路をさらに含み、前記第3の回路が、ペーシングパルスを送り出すためのペーシング刺激回路を含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、血圧を検出するための血圧センサを提供し、前記無線通信が、前記血圧から導出された情報を含み、前記ペーシング刺激回路が、前記血圧から導出された前記情報に応答して前記ペーシングパルスの送り出しを調整するように構成される、請求項9に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第3の回路が、前記第1の検出回路から物理的に離れて位置するが、前記第1の検出回路に電気的に接続される、請求項9に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、固有の電気心房信号を検知するための心房センシング回路を含み、前記無線通信が、前記心房信号から導出された情報を含み、
前記モジュール式埋込可能装置が、固有の電気心室信号を検知しかつ前記心室信号から導出された情報を含む無線通信を送信するための心室センシング回路をさらに含み、
前記コントローラ回路が、前記心房信号と前記心室信号との少なくとも一方から導出された情報を分析して抗頻拍性不整脈治療を決定するように構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。 - 前記第1の検出回路が、心臓の中に埋め込まれるように形成されかつ構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、肺血管の中に埋め込まれるように形成されかつ構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、末梢心臓血管の中に埋め込まれるように形成されかつ構成される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記第1の検出回路が、前記無線通信を人又は動物の身体を通る電気信号として送信するように構成され、前記身体が、前記無線通信のための導電媒体として使用される、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
- 前記モジュール式埋込可能装置が、少なくとも2つの生理的パラメータを同時に検知するように構成され、前記少なくとも2つの生理的パラメータに関する情報を記録するように構成されたメモリ回路をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール式埋込可能装置。
