Description

Claims (16)
- 3次元プリフォームを製造するための剪断真空成形方法であって、前記方法が、
(a)長さと、凸状屈曲セクションを有する、前記長さに沿ったウェブ表面と、フランジを形成するために前記ウェブ表面から延びる2つの連続した側壁とを有する成形型を設けることと、
(b)可撓性ダイヤフラム上にプリフォーム材料を配置することと、
(c)前記成形型の前記ウェブ表面が前記プリフォーム材料の一部分と接触するように、前記プリフォーム材料の上方に前記成形型を配置することと、
(d)前記成形型の各側壁の隣に少なくとも2つの可動式内側抑止装置を配置して、各内側抑止装置の一端が前記ウェブ表面の前記屈曲セクションに隣接するようにすることと、
(f)前記可撓性ダイヤフラム及び前記成形型によって画定された真空密閉チャンバを形成することであって、前記真空密閉チャンバが前記内側抑止装置及び前記プリフォーム材料を封入する、ことと、
(g)部分真空に到達するまで前記真空密閉チャンバから空気を排気して、前記可撓性ダイヤフラムが前記成形型に引き寄せられるようにすることと、
(h)前記真空密閉チャンバの排気中に、前記成形型の前記側壁に沿って各内側抑止装置を前記屈曲セクションから離れる方向に離脱させて、少なくとも2つの内側抑止装置が前記成形型の各側壁に沿って反対方向に移動し、それにより前記プリフォーム材料が前記成形型の前記側壁に徐々に接触できるようにすることと、
(i)前記抑止装置が離脱され、前記プリフォーム材料が前記成形型に適合した後に真空圧を上昇させ、それにより成形プリフォームを成形することであって、前記真空圧が前記成形プリフォームを固めるのに十分であり、
(g)において空気を排気する前に、又は(i)において前記成形プリフォームが成形された後に、前記プリフォーム材料を加熱するために加熱することが施される、ことと、
を含む、剪断真空成形方法。 - 前記内側抑止装置が管状バルーンである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- (d)において、前記内側抑止装置に隣接して外側抑止装置を配置して、各外側抑止装置が内側抑止装置に隣接するが、前記型に接触しないようにすることと、(h)において、前記内側抑止装置と連動して前記外側抑止装置を離脱させて、各外側抑止装置が前記隣接する内側抑止装置と同じ方向に移動するが、前記隣接する内側抑止装置がある初期時間だけ移動を開始した後にのみ移動するようにすることであって、
前記内側抑止装置及び前記外側抑止装置が管状バルーンの形態である、ことと、
を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記内側抑止装置がキャタピラ軌道であり、各キャタピラ軌道が、蝶番要素によって相互に接続されたリンクの連鎖、及び連結されて循環調帯を形成する複数のトラックシューを備え、各トラックシューが、各リンクに取り付けられ、各トラックシューが、平坦な外側表面を有して、キャタピラ軌道の重量を分散させるとともにダイヤフラムの損傷を防止する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記可撓性ダイヤフラムが弾性材料から作られる、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォーム材料が無機繊維又は有機繊維を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォーム材料が、一方向繊維又は織布の形態の強化繊維を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォーム材料が、結合剤で処理された液体透過性のファブリックプライの組立体を含み、
前記プリフォーム材料を加熱することが、(i)において前記成形プリフォームが形成された後に行われて、前記結合剤を軟化させ、前記プリフォームの形状を硬化する、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 加熱することの後に、前記成形プリフォームを冷却することを更に含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォーム材料が、複数のプリプレグプライのレイアップを積層構成で含み、各プリプレグプライが、熱硬化性樹脂マトリックス又は熱可塑性マトリックスに埋め込まれた強化繊維を含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 各プリプレグプライが、硬化可能な熱硬化性樹脂マトリックスに埋め込まれた強化繊維を含み、前記マトリックスが、1種以上のエポキシ樹脂及び硬化剤を含み、
前記プリフォーム材料を加熱することが、(g)において空気を排気する前に、前記熱硬化性樹脂マトリックスの硬化温度未満の温度で行われる、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 工程(i)の後に前記成形プリフォームを冷却することを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 各プリプレグプライが、熱可塑性ポリマーマトリックスに埋め込まれた強化繊維を含み、
前記プリフォーム材料を加熱することが、(i)において前記成形プリフォームが形成された後に行われて、前記熱可塑性ポリマーマトリックスを軟化させ、前記プリフォームの形状を硬化する、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 加熱することの後に、前記成形プリフォームを冷却することを更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォーム材料が、2つ以上の液体透過性の繊維層を積層構成で含み、
各繊維層が、自動配置プロセスにおいて、複数の細長い又は連続した繊維材料のテープを並べて堆積することによって形成され、
各細長い又は連続した繊維材料のテープが、一方向繊維の層の少なくとも片側に積層された不織布ベールと、前記不織布ベール及び前記一方向繊維を一緒に保持するのに十分な量の結合剤である、結合剤とを含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 各細長い又は連続した繊維材料のテープの前記不織布ベールが、不規則に配置された炭素繊維又は熱可塑性繊維を含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
