Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the reception with the maximum sensitivity by adjusting the length of the antenna in response to the wavelength of a received radio wave. CONSTITUTION:The antenna is provided with a motor 2 adjusting the length of the antenna 1 and a controller 3 controlling the motor 2. The controller 3 receives a channel selection data inputted from a key 4, obtains a wavelength from the frequency of the selected station and calculates the length of 1/2 or 1/4 wavelength obtaining the maximum sensitivity. A motor control circuit 5 decides a drive angle of the motor 2 to adjust the antenna 1 to the length calculated by the controller 3. Since the length of the antenna 1 is adjusted in response to the received radio wave, the wave is received by the maximum sensitivity.
