In a vehicle dispatch system in which an order is received at a vehicle dispatch center and the vehicle dispatch center determines a vehicle that can be dispatched from among a plurality of vehicles connected to the vehicle dispatch center via a wireless line, each vehicle is sent to the vehicle dispatch center. A vehicle allocation number display device is provided whose display can be changed by a signal from the vehicle allocation center, and a display signal of the same order number as that notified to the customer from the vehicle allocation center is transmitted to the vehicle for which the allocation has been decided.

This is a process that searches for an empty vehicle near the customer's location from among multiple operating vehicles, and the vehicle status (empty/actual, in operation/inactive),
If information such as current location is received and displayed sequentially at the vehicle dispatch center via a wireless link, it can be grasped in a short time. However, since it is necessary to confirm with the driver whether the corresponding vehicle can be reliably dispatched, the dispatch center performs the dispatch process in step S4, and obtains the mobile station's consent in step S5. If this understanding is obtained, the dispatch is possible, so step S6

A series of variable numbers (called order numbers) are assigned when a vehicle dispatch center receives an order from a customer, and these numbers are automatically controlled by signals from the vehicle dispatch center. FIG. 1 (g)) is an example of the dispatch number display 2. When a vehicle is being dispatched (picking up a vehicle), the word "dispatch" 21 lights up, and the following section shows the dispatch number 22 ("128" in this example). Is displayed.

If they match, it can be determined that this data is addressed to the own vehicle, and in the subsequent step S12 it is determined whether this data is for number display. Data types and control bits are used to make this determination. If it is determined that the number is to be displayed, the dispatch number is displayed in step S13.

This reduces phone hold time for each order.

Further, the dispatch center and the mobile station are connected via a wireless line. The processing procedure of the present invention is obtained by dividing step S7 in FIG. 3 into three steps 371 to S73, and the other steps 81 to S6 and S8 are the same as in FIG.

Since step S2 is the acceptance of a vehicle dispatch order from the customer, the V&LE is not performed to check whether there are vehicles that can actually be dispatched at the stage immediately after that. However, if the customer is informed of the order number as the dispatch number, the customer can hang up at this stage, which shortens the call hold time.

The mobile station automatically displays the dispatch number on the dispatch number display in step 373. Since this dispatch number is exactly the order number that the customer heard in step S71, the customer can easily identify the dispatched vehicle.

However, in general, a few minutes is enough to complete the vehicle allocation process, and even if the waiting time increases by that much, the customer does not feel it is particularly long, so it is not a substantial problem.
