[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] This invention provides an FRP with a ceramic-like surface pattern.
Regarding the method of obtaining a molded product, a sheet molding compound (hereinafter referred to as SMC) is hot-pressed to obtain a molded product having an uneven pattern, and a coating material with a viscosity of 5 to 40 cps is applied to the surface of the molded product in an average amount of 200 to 400 g. / m2
By applying the paint in such a way as to give it a natural pottery-like surface pattern, the paint is allowed to flow down naturally and then solidified.

Conventionally, the method of obtaining FRP molded products with a ceramic-like appearance was to create a panel-shaped product with a large number of tiles arranged side by side.
Some FRP molded products are manufactured from SMC, and a clear coating is applied to the surface of the product in a slightly thick layer to give it a glazed feel. However, this method had a problem in that the flow and pooling of the tile glaze could not be sufficiently obtained, and the texture of ceramics could hardly be obtained.

In addition, FRP molded products with uneven patterns on the surface
It is molded using SMC, etc., and colored ink is rubbed into the concave parts of the uneven pattern using a roll, etc.
Some have different shades of color and are coated with clear paint. Since this product uses a mechanical method to apply color changes to the uneven parts, the color changes do not have a natural feel, and unless a clear coating is applied, sufficient luster and depth cannot be obtained. The problem is that there are many.

Therefore, in this invention, a molded product having an uneven pattern on the surface is made by heat-pressing SMC, and a paint with a viscosity of 5 to 40 cps is applied to this surface in an average amount of 200 to 400 g/m 2 . The above-mentioned problems of the conventional method were solved by applying the paint, waiting for the paint to flow down naturally, and then allowing it to solidify.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. First, SMC is subjected to heat and pressure treatment to create an FRP molded article 1 having an uneven pattern on its surface as shown in FIG. SMC is made by mixing unsaturated polyester resin with fillers such as clay, calcium carbonate, and silica, peroxides such as tert-butyl perbenzoate, pigments, and metal oxides such as magnesia, and impregnating it into short glass fibers. You can use the usual ones. This SMC is placed in a mold with an uneven molding surface, heated and pressurized at a temperature of 110 to 160°C, a pressure of 3 to 20 MPa, and a time of 0.5 to 10 minutes.
Obtain an FRP molded product with the desired shape.

If necessary, joints 2 may be cut in this FRP molded product 1 as shown in FIG. It is preferable that the width of the joints 2 is 2 mm or more, since the paint will not flow down into the joints 2 during the next step of applying the paint, and there will be no need to mask the joints. Moreover, this molded article 1 can be colored in a desired color as required.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2, paint 3 is applied onto the uneven pattern of this FRP molded product. As the paint 3, a transparent or colored opaque paint such as a polyurethane resin paint or an epoxy resin paint, which has good adhesion to the FRP molded article 1, is used. When applying paint 3, use thinner to reduce the viscosity to 5 to 40 cps,
It is preferably adjusted to 7 to 15 cps. If the viscosity is less than 5 cps, the paint will flow too much and the shadows will be too strong. Moreover, if it exceeds 40 cps, the flow will be too small and there will be virtually no paint flowing down, making it impossible to obtain the desired effect.

For application, a normal spray coating is used, but a roll coater, a flow coater, etc. may also be used. It is not necessarily necessary to apply it evenly. The coating amount is preferably about 200 to 400 g/m 2 on average.

After applying the paint, leave it until the surface of the paint film loses its tackiness and allow the paint to flow down naturally due to gravity. As a result, as shown in Figure 3, the undried fluid paint naturally flows down from the convex part to the lower concave part and accumulates there, causing a natural change in the thickness of the paint film.

The FRP molded product obtained in this way exhibits a surface pattern that closely resembles the natural flow of glaze on pottery due to the amount of paint film created by the natural flow of paint 3, and has a texture similar to that of pottery. Be well prepared.

A molded article having a concavo-convex pattern as shown in FIG. 1 was molded by heat-pressure treatment at a temperature of 10 MPa and a time of 1 minute. Next, on top of this molded product, a polyurethane resin paint with a viscosity (at 25°C) of 10 cps, consisting of 100 parts by weight of polyurethane resin, 2.5 parts by weight of pigment (toner), and 70 parts by weight of diluting solvent, was spray-painted at a rate of 300 g/m. 2 coats, approx. 30
The film was left to stand for several minutes, and when it lost its tackiness, it was placed in a natural oven maintained at 150°C for 10 minutes to harden the coating.
The surface of the obtained FRP molded product exhibited a pattern that closely resembled the natural flow of glaze, and had a texture that closely resembled that of pottery.

As explained above, the method for manufacturing FRP molded products of this invention is to produce FRP molded products from SMC that have an uneven pattern on the surface.
A molded product is made, and the viscosity is 5 to 5 on this uneven pattern.
40 cps of paint is applied at an average coating amount of 200 to 400 g/ m2 , and the paint is allowed to flow down naturally before solidifying the coating, so the base material SMC
The shading and shading caused by the natural flow of paint on the surface of the molded product are extremely similar to those caused by the flow of glaze on pottery, and the product has the texture of pottery.
In addition, since it is sufficient to simply leave the paint to stand after applying the paint, it is easy to manufacture and can be produced at low cost.
