Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有し、約2フィート−ポンド/ インチよりも大きいIZODノッチ付き衝撃強さおよび約1×1011オーム/c mより小さい体積抵抗率を有するポリマー組成物。 2.上記フィブリルの少なくとも一部分が凝集体の形態である、請求項1に記 載の組成物。 3.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小 さい径を有する、請求項2に記載の組成物。 4.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマー組成物であって 、改善された剛性および約1×1011オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有し 、上記フィブリルの少なくとも一部分が凝集体の形態であって、この凝集体の実 質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するポリマ ー組成物。 5.上記凝集体の少なくとも90%が、面積ベースで測定して、約25μmよ りも小さい径を有する、請求項4に記載の組成物。 6.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さ い径を有する、請求項4に記載の組成物。 7.上記凝集体の少なくとも98%が、面積ベースで測定して、約3μmより も小さい径を有する、請求項6に記載の組成物。 8.上記組成物中の上記フィブリルの量が約2〜5重量%である、請求項4に 記載の組成物。 9.上記組成物が約3フィート−ポンド/インチよりも大きいIZODノッチ 付き衝撃強さを有する、請求項4に記載の組成物。 10.上記組成物が約5フィート−ポンド/インチよりも大きいIZODノッチ 付き衝撃強さを有する、請求項9に記載の組成物。 11.上記組成物が約1×1012オーム/平方より小さい表面抵抗率を有する、 請求項4に記載の組成物。 12.上記ポリマーが熱可塑性樹脂、熱硬化性樹脂、エラストマー、アロイまた は配合物からなる、請求項4に記載の組成物。 13.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有し、このフィブリルは実質的 に一定の径を有する実質的に円柱形態であり、それらの円柱軸に対して実質的に 垂直なc−軸を有し、熱分解により沈着した炭素を実質的に有しておらず、かつ また約3.5〜70ナノメーターの径を有し、そしてまた上記フィブリルの少な くとも一部分は凝集体の形態であって、この凝集体の実質的全部は、面積ベース で測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するポリマー組成物であって、約1 ×1011オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有するポリマー組成物。 14.上記凝集体の少なくとも90%が、面積ベースで測定して、約25μmよ りも小さい径を有する、請求項13に記載の組成物。 15.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さ い径を有する、請求項13に記載の組成物。 16.上記凝集体の少なくとも98%が、面積ベースで測定して、約3μmより も小さい径を有する、請求項15に記載の組成物。 17.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有し、このフィブリルの少なく とも一部分は凝集体の形態であるポリマー組成物であって、面積ベースで測定し て、約35μmよりも大きい径を有するフィブリル凝集体を実質的に含有してお らず、およびまたこのフィブリル凝集体の少なくとも90%は、面積ベースで測 定して、約25μmよりも小さい径を有し、かつまた約1×1011オーム/cm より小さい体積抵抗率を有するポリマー組成物。 18.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、各凝集体それぞれによって占拠された体積内 でポリマー組成物で満たされている、請求項17に記載の組成物。 19.面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも大きいフィブリル凝集体を実質的 に含有していない、請求項17に記載の組成物。 20.上記凝集体の少なくとも98%が、面積ベースで測定して、約3μmより も小さい径を有する、請求項19に記載の組成物。 21.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマー組成物であって 、この組成物は上記フィブリルを含有していない組成物のIZODノッチ付き衝 撃強さの75%より大きいIZODノッチ付き衝撃強さを有し、かつまた約1× 1 011オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有するポリマー組成物。 22.上記炭素フィブリルの少なくとも一部分が凝集体の形態である、請求項2 1に記載の組成物。 23.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小 さい径を有する、請求項22に記載の組成物。 24.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さ い径を有する、請求項23に記載の組成物。 25.上記フィブリルを含有していない組成物のIZODノッチ付き衝撃強さの 85%より大きいIZODノッチ付き衝撃強さを有する、請求項21に記載の組 成物。 26.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有し、このフィブリルは実質的 に一定の径を有する実質的に円柱形態であり、それらの円柱軸に対して実質的に 垂直なc−軸を有し、熱分解により沈着した炭素を実質的に有しておらず、かつ また約3.5〜70ナノメーターの径を有し、そしてまた上記フィブリルの少な くとも一部分は凝集体の形態であって、この凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベース で測定して、約5μmよりも小さい径を有するポリマー組成物。 27.炭素フィブリル1.0〜60重量%を含有し、このフィブリルの少なくと も一部分は凝集体の形態であるポリマーマスターバッチ組成物であって、面積ベ ースで測定して、約50μmよりも大きい径を有するフィブリル凝集体を実質的 に含有しておらず、およびまたこのフィブリル凝集体の少なくとも90%は、面 積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するポリマーマスターバッ チ組成物。 28.ポリマー組成物の製造方法であって、 (a)炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%をポリマー材料と配合し、ここ でこのフィブリルの少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり; (b)この配合物を混合して、上記ポリマー材料中に上記フィブリルを分布 させ;次いで (c)この配合物に剪断力を適用して、上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベ ースで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するまで、この凝集体を分解さ せる; 工程からなる製造方法。 29.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さ い径を有するまで、上記配合物に剪断力を適用する、請求項28に記載の方法。 30.上記凝集体の少なくとも98%が、面積ベースで測定して、約3μmより も小さい径を有するまで、上記配合物に剪断力を適用する、請求項29に記載の 方法。 31.上記ポリマー材料中の上記凝集体の実質的全部を、各凝集体それぞれによ って占拠された体積内でポリマー材料により満たす、請求項28に記載の方法。 32.改善された剛性および1×1011オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有 する充填ポリマー組成物であって、 (a)炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%をポリマー材料と配合し、ここ でこのフィブリルの少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり; (b)この配合物を混合して、上記ポリマー材料中に上記フィブリルを分布 させ;次いで (c)この配合物に剪断力を適用して、上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベ ースで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するまで、この凝集体を分解さ せる; ことからなる方法によって製造される上記充填ポリマー組成物。 33.ポリマー組成物の製造方法であって、 (a)炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%をポリマー材料と配合し、ここ でこのフィブリルの少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり; (b)この配合物を混合して、上記ポリマー材料中に上記フィブリルを分布 させ;次いで (c)この配合物に剪断力を適用して、上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベ ースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さい径を有するまで、この凝集体を分解させ る; 工程からなり、しかし当該組成物の体積抵抗率は、1×1011オーム/cmより 小さいポリマー組成物の製造方法。 34.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有し、このフィブリルの少なく とも一部分は凝集体の形態であり、そしてこの凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベー スで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するポリマーからなり、かつまた 当該組成物が、1×102オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有するEMIシ ールド。 35.静電塗装法により塗装することができる自動車本体部品であって、炭素フ ィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマーからなり、このフィブリルの 少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり、この凝集体の実質的全部は、面積ベー スで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有し、かつまた当該組成物は、約1 ×107オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有する上記自動車本体部品。 36.静電塗装法により塗装することができる家庭用電気器具であって、炭素フ ィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマーからなり、このフィブリルの 少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり、この凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベー スで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有し、かつまた当該組成物は、約1 ×107オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有する家庭用電気器具。 37.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマーからなる静電気 放電性デバイスであって、このフィブリルの少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態で あり、この凝集体の実質的全部は、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小 さい径を有し、かつまた当該組成物は、約1×1011オーム/cmより小さい体 積抵抗率を有する静電気放電性デバイス。 38.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマーからなる静電気 帯電防止性デバイスであって、このフィブリルの少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形 態であり、この凝集体の実質的全部は、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmより も小さい径を有し、かつまた当該組成物は、約1×1011オーム/cmより小さ い体積抵抗率を有する静電気帯電防止性デバイス。 39.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマー組成物であって 、この組成物は上記フィブリルを含有していない上記組成物の引張伸びの少なく とも75%の引張伸びを有し、かつまた約1×1011オーム/cmより小さい体 積抵抗率を有するポリマー組成物。 40.上記記炭素フィブリルの少なくとも一部分が凝集体の形態である、請求項 39に記載の組成物。 41.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約35μmよりも小 さい径を有する、請求項40に記載の組成物。 42.上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定して、約5μmよりも小さ い径を有する、請求項41に記載の組成物。 43.上記組成物が、上記フィブリルを含有していない上記組成物の引張伸びの 少なくとも85%の引張伸びを有する、請求項39に記載の組成物。 44.相溶化剤をさらに含有する、請求項12に記載の組成物。 45.上記配合物が、ポリフェニレンエーテルおよびポリアミドからなる、請求 項12に記載の組成物。 46.炭素フィブリル0.25〜50重量%を含有するポリマーからなる自動車 燃料制御または供給装置あるいはその部品であって、このフィブリルの少なくと も一部分は凝集体の形態であり、この凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベースで測定 して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有し、かつまた当該組成物は、約2フィート −ポンド/インチよりも大きいIZODノッチ付き衝撃強さおよび約1×1011 オーム/cmより小さい体積抵抗率を有する上記自動車燃料制御または供給装置 またはその部品。 47.上記ポリマーが、ポリアミド−12、ポリフェニレンスルフィドまたはポ リエーテルエーテルケトンである、請求項46に記載の自動車燃料制御または供 給装置あるいはその部品。 48.ポリマーマスターバッチ組成物の製造方法であって、 (a)炭素フィブリル1.0〜60重量%を配合し、ここでこのフィブリル の少なくとも一部分は凝集体の形態であり; (b)レットダウン樹脂を添加して、混合を促進させ;次いで (c)この配合物に剪断力を適用して、上記凝集体の実質的全部が、面積ベ ースで測定して、約35μmよりも小さい径を有するまで、この凝集体を分解さ せる; 工程からなる製造方法。 49.請求項48に記載の方法にしたがい製造されるポリマーマスターバッチ組 成物。 50.抵抗率の正の温度係数を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。 51.請求項50に記載の組成物からなるサーモスタット。 52.請求項50に記載の組成物からなる自己制限性加熱テープ。
