Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.プロセス制御システムにおける温度送信器であって、 温度を感知して、感知された温度に関連するセンサ出力を与える温度センサと 、 センサ出力に接続されてセンサ出力に関連するデジタル出力を与えるA/D変 換器と、 前記デジタル出力に接続されてデジタル出力を補償し、処理して、温度出力を 与えるマイクロプロセッサと、 センサ出力を第1のしきい値と比較して、センサ出力が第1のしきい値の外に ある場合、抑止信号をマイクロプロセッサに与える比較回路とを具備した温度送 信器。 2.センサ出力は、マルチプレクサを介して比較回路に個別に接続される複数 のセンサリードを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 3.比較回路はセンサ出力を第2のしきい値と比較して、センサ出力が第1と 第2のしきい値の外にある場合、抑止信号を与えることを特徴とする請求項1に 記載の温度送信器。 4.第1と第2のしきい値に接続されたスイッチと、マイクロプロセッサから の制御信号に応じて、比較回路の入力に第1あるいは第2のしきい値を接続させ る比較回路への入力とを有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の温度送信器。 5.マイクロプロセッサは抑止信号に接続されており、抑止信号 は温度出力を抑止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 6.比較回路の応答時間はA/D変換器の応答時間よりも速いことを特徴とす る請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 7.比較回路は、抑止出力を選択的に反転させるための極性制御入力を有する ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 8.極性制御入力はマイクロプロセッサに接続されていることを特徴とする請 求項1に記載の温度送信器。 9.プロセス制御ループ上に温度出力を送信する2線プロセス制御ループに接 続された出力回路を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 10.センサはRTDであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 11.センサは熱電対であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 12.マイクロプロセッサは抑止信号と接続され、それに応じて診断出力を与 えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の温度送信器。 13.プロセス制御システムにおけるプロセスの温度測定方法であって、 プロセスの温度に関連するセンサ出力を得る工程と、 センサ出力に関連するデジタル出力を与える工程と、 デジタル出力を補償して、プロセスの温度を示す補償された出力 を与える工程と、 第1のセンサ出力をしきい値と比較する工程と、 比較に基づいてエラー信号を与える工程とを具備する方法。 14.エラー信号に応じて補償された出力を抑止する工程を含むことを特徴と する請求項13に記載の方法。 15.請求項13に記載の方法であって、 センサ入力を第2のしきい値と比較する工程と、 第2のしきい値との比較に基づいて、エラー信号を与える工程とを具備するこ とを特徴とする方法。 16.センサ入力を与えるセンサのタイプに基づいて、第1のしきい値を調整 する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。 17.比較の工程はデジタル出力を与える工程より速いことを特徴とする請求 項13に記載の方法。 18.2線プロセス制御ループ上に補償された出力を送信する工程を具備する ことを特徴とすろ請求項13に記載の方法。 19.エラー信号の極性を選択的に反転させる工程を具備することを特徴とす る請求項13に記載の方法。 20.センサ入力は複数のセンサリードを含み、該方法はそれぞれのセンサリ ードからのセンサ入力を個々にしきい値と比較する工程を具備することを特徴と する請求項13に記載の方法。 21.エラー信号に応じて、診断出力を与える工程を具備するこ とを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
