Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of a power agricultural tractor having an adjustable steering handle with respect to tractor body in response to working purpose by enabling to restrict a gear shift lever to shift into rear stage when retarding the tractor.
CONSTITUTION: A gear shift lever 5 can be shifted to low speed stage or reverse stage by pulling up the lever 5 and escaping it from a spline hole 4a via a boss 5b, turning it to alter the direction of a grip 5c, and elevationally rotating the grip 5c around a supporting shaft 1 to shift a gear shift arm 3 to forward or reverse gear shift boss 8 or 9. A restricting plate 10 is so pivotally supported at a shaft 12 protruded from a bearing plate 11 as to engage or disengage the boss 8 or 9 disposed at neutral position at the rotary end to thereby restrict the gear shifting operation to high speed stage at reverse state via a cam 13 provided at the standing portion 5a of the lever 5.
