Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent accident by providing a ventilation fan with an operating switch and a draft detecting switch and opening a gas duct open-close valve only when the both switches are closed.
CONSTITUTION: With a ventilation fan operating switch 3 closed manually, a motor 6 rotates vanes 5 so that the air provided with velocity and pressure by the vanes 5 is exhausted. The wind pressure causes a shutter plate 11 rotatably fitted on a shutter shaft 10 to open in the direction of the arrows. Because a magnet 12 at the lower end of the plate 11 goes away from a draft detecting switch 13, the switch 13 closed. The closing of the switch 13-1 opens a gas duct open-close valve 7, a gas is fed to a gas appliance 4, and the appliance 4 is ready for use by the operation of an ignition control and the like.
