Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently control the acceleration and deceleration of an elevator cage with high performance by providing a power factor improving phase advance capacitor at power side from a motor control thyrisror.
CONSTITUTION: A power factor improving phase advance capacitor C is connected to the power side from thyristor units SR2, SR3. Thus, the effect of the capacitor C affects only the power side from the connecting point regardless of the thyristors SR2, SR3 at the load side from the connecting point so as to eliminate the superimposition of load current of harmonic wave current generated when the capacitor C is inserted between the thyristors SR2, SR3 and motors M1, M2, increased noise of motors M1, M2, abnormal overheat of the thyristors SR2, SR3, and increased electromagnetic fault due to increased harmonic wave current so as to efficiently control the acceleration and deceleration of an elevator cage with efficient high performance by the thyristors.
