Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A constant current circuit 4 is connected in series to a plurality of LEDs 5, 6 ... which are also connected in series. The emitters and collectors of transistors 10, 11 ... are connected to each LED, and the base inputs of each transistor are commonly connected. When there is no input signal between input terminals 1 and 2, all LEDs 5, 6 ... are in extinguished state. When a voltage builds between the input terminals 1 and 2, first the transistor 14 is cut off and the LED 9 is illuminated. As the input terminal voltage further rises, the transistor 13 is also cut off, and the LEDs 9. 8 are illuminated. In consequence, as the input terminal voltage further elevates, the LEDs 7, 6, 5 are illuminated in this order.
