Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an output having relay characteristic by arranging two series- connected magnetic resistance elements, which the DC voltage is applied to, on a permanent magnet giving a magnetic bias, and changing the magnetic resistance of elements by a signal generation part opposite to elements when the output is taken out from the intermediate connection point. CONSTITUTION:Two magnetic resistance elements M1 and M2 consisting of a high- mobility semiconductor such as InSb are connected in series and are arranged on the N-polarity face or S-polarity face of permanent magnet 2 which functions to apply the magnetic bias, and DC voltage Vin is applied to both ends of elements M1 and M2. Intermediate connection point 3 between elements M1 and M2 is connected to output terminal 5 through comparator 4. Meanwhile, magnetic signal input part 8 consisting of yoke 6, which is formed by ferrite, etc., and exciting coil 7 is arranged oppositely to elements M1 and M2, and positive or negative signals from signal generation part 9 are applied to this part 8. Thus, V- and V+ signals are generated at output terminal 5 to operate as a contactless relay.
