Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a high sensitivity electrophotographic photoreceptor, by fabricating a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer using a specified photoconductor as a charge transfer substance on a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: As a charge transfer substance a compound, e.g. 2-phenyl-3- (4'-dimethylaminophenyl)-quinoxaline, represented by the formula in which A is alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, or condensed aromatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted by amino, this may be also substituted; R1, R2 are phenyl, alkylphenyl, alkoxyphenyl, halogenophenyl, or substitutable amino; but one or more substitutable amino groups are present. On a conductive substrate a 5 μ or less thick charge generating layer is formed made of a charge generating substance of Se, azoxybenzene type pigments, or the like, and on this, a 10W100 μ thick charge transfer layer is formed containing the above charge transfer substance. A photoreceptor is thus formed.
