Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a solid rodenticide having resistance to disintegration and keeping long-term palatably attracting properties, by dispersing a rodenticide uniformly into a synthelic resin emulsion or a rubber latex, followed by adding a palatable attractant, drying and bonding.
CONSTITUTION: A rodenticide is dispersed uniformly into a synthetic resin emulsion (e.g., an emulsion of polyvinylacetate, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, etc.) or into a rubber latex (e.g., a latex of natural rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, etc.) to give a resulting blend, which is mixed with a palatable attractant, shaped and dried to prepare a solid rodenticide having resistance to disintegration with about 3W25wt% of the solid content of the resin or the rubber. In this prepparation, a matrix of a micro three-dimensional network is formed in the rodenticide by the use of the resin or rubber so that the scattering of fragrance from the platable attractant can be continued without prevention.
