Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to dispense a preset quantity of samples independently of one another, while keeping a nozzle stationary, by providing a branched pipe, which is formed with a plurality of branches communicating with a suction pipe, so that the samples sucked are dispensed in the preset quantity into the respective branches and then are discharged to a reaction container. CONSTITUTION:A branched pipe 1 is composed of a plurality of passage pipes 4a, 4b and 4c which are connected at their one side with a sample suction pipe 2 and at their other side with a rinsing pump 3. Midway of the pipes 4a to 4c, there are connected passages which have their one sides connected with injectors 5a to 5c and their other sides connected with discharge pipes 6a to 6c, respectively. With the injectors 5a to 5c, moreover, there are connected both sample metering cylinders 17a to 17c for metering the sample and reagent cylinders 18a to 18c for metering a reagent. A series of sample sucking, metering, discharging and sucking pipe rinsing processes are performed. In this meanwhile, the discharge pipes 6a to 6c need not be moved while being kept stationary.
