Abstract

PURPOSE: Title device in which the cocoon water in the pretreating tank is always circulated to the outside of the tank and carbon acid is added on its way of circulation, thus enabling the carbonated water of a prescribed pH to soak into cocoons.

The pH of the treating water circulated is always detected and, when it exceeds the set value, pH detector 13 gives a signal to open valve 21 and blow carbon dioxide in bomb 19 through pipe 18 into tank equipped stirrer 15. The carbon dioxide is dissolved into the treating water in tank 15 and, when the pH drops below the prescribed value, the detector 13 operates again valve 21 to stop the carbon dioxide from blowing into the tank 15.
