Abstract
PURPOSE: A solid composition having improved dispersibility and disintegration, obtained by adding a water-dispersible complex comprising microcrystalline cellulose, a dispersing agent, and a disintegrator to a concentrated fruit juice during the drying and solidifying steps.
CONSTITUTION: A solid composition obtained by drying a mixture of (A) 10wt.% or more of a concentrated fruit juice with a solid content of 10W70 wt.%, (B) 30W90 wt.% of desired additives, e.g. a tasting, flavor, and tonic substances, and (C) 0.5 wt.% or more of a water-dispersible complex, prepared by grinding and kneading (a) 60W95 wt.% of microcrystalline cellulose and (b) 5W40 wt.% of (i) a dispersing agent, e.g. guar gum, carrageenan, of karaya gum, and (ii) a disintegrator, e.g. mono- or polysaccharide or amylolyzed starch in the presence of water. The weight ratio of (i) to (ii) is preferably 9:1W1:9.
