Abstract
PURPOSE: The title composition having improved heat and cold resistance and low dielectric properties, comprising polyethlene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, an additive flame retardant of a halogen compound, and a metallic oxide.
CONSTITUTION: A uniform polyethylene composition comprising (A) 87W30wt.% of polyethylene having a melt index of 0.1W3, (B) 30W20wt.% of ethylene-propylene copolymer having a melt index of 0.1W20 with an ethlylene content of 60W 80mole%, and (C) 10W50wt.% of a mixture of an additive flame-retardant of a halogen compound having an upper limit of heat resistance ≥200°C, and a metallic oxide. The composition has improved flame retardancy, low dielectric properties, and excellent cold resistance, and heat stability, without degrading the tensile properties extremely.
