Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently separate and remove residues and water content by providing the elements provided with multiple fins in their axial direction as intersecting arrays with the mutual fins being plunged into the fine spacings between the fins of the mating elements.
CONSTITUTION: Large discs 3 and small discs 4 are alternately fitted to shafts 2 to form the large discs 3 as fins and form fine grooves 4' between the large discs 3, whereby screen elemtnts 1 are made. The fins 3 of the elements 1 are plunged into the fine grooves 4' of the adjoining elements 1 to form intersecting arrays 6. All the elements 1 are then rotated in one direction. The water content being filterd out through these spacings falls onto the bottom of the box and is discharged from discharge port 10. The residues remained on the intersecting array 6 are sent to the other end side of the intersecting array and are discharged after they are squeezed by a squeezing means 11.
