Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to select the attenuation of VHF signal easily, by providing the four terminal socket, type resistance attenuator and two terminal short plug to the tuner incorporating the branch circuit branching UHF and VHF signals. CONSTITUTION:The tuner frame 1 is provided with the exposed four terminal socket 9, which is connected with the type resistor attenuator 10. The input terminal A of the socket 9 is connected to the VHF band pass LPF 6, and the output terminal B is connected to the IF blocking HPF 7. The two terminal short circuit plug 11 which can shorten either two terminal of the socket 9 from the external of the tuner is provided. When the plug 11 is inserted to the A and B terminals of the socket 9, the resistor attenuator 10 is removed, and LPF 6 and HPF 7 are directly connected. When the plug 11 is inserted to the terminals C, D of the socket 9, the attenuator 10 is inserted between the filters to easily select the attenuation of VHF signal.
