Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the maintenance and repair of a solar water heater, by separating a water feed vessel from a hot water storage vessel and a heat reception vessel and placing the water feed vessel in such a position that it can be easily operated by a person in a house.
CONSTITUTION: The water feed vessel 2 is separated from the hot water storage vessel 1 mounted on a roof and is located in such a position that the ordinary person can easily operate the water feed vessel 2 in the house. A water feed valve 3 is attached to the water feed vessel 2. Water is supplied to the hot water storage vessel 1 through the valve 3 and a water pipe 4. Water having overflowed the hot water storage vessel 1 is conducted into the water feed vessel 2 through an overflow pipe 5 to automatically stop supplying water to the hot water storage vessel 1 through the water feed valve 3. The water in the vessel 1 is conducted to the heat reception vessel 7 through a hot or cold water circulation pipe 6 so that the water is heated. The heated water is supplied to a bathtub 9 or the like through a hot water pipe 8. A drain valve 10 attached to the water feed vessel 2 is appropriately opened depending on the decrease in the hot water in the storage vessel 1 to drain water out of the water feed vessel 2 and resume supplying water to the storage vessel 1 through the water feed valve 3.
