Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively separate suspended matter in oil-contg. waste water as scum of low oil content by concentrating the waste water followed by mangetic separation and flotation.
CONSTITUTION: Oil-contg. waste water contg. iron powder and suspended matter is stored in tank 1, homogenized, fed to primary cyclone 2, and concentrated. The overflow is fed to constant vol. tank 3, and the underflow is supplied to magnetic separator 10 to separate oil-absorbing magnetic matter, which is than dehydrated and sent to incinerator 12. The residual nonmagnetic matter is supplied to secondary cyclone 14 and concentrated. The underflow is fed to scum tank 7, and the overflow is fed to tank 3, charged into reaction tank 4 together with the overflow of cyclone 2, and fed to flotation tank 6 through neutralization tank 5. Scum formed is sent to scum tank 7, dehydrated, and disposed. The treated water is purified and drained.
