Abstract

PURPOSE: To wind threads at highly constant tension like a cloth, by swinging the threads with swing guides provided on thread input sides and by controlling spindles depending on the tension.
CONSTITUTION: The threads 2A, 2B are continuously delivered at a constant speed by godet rollers 1A, 1B and swung between the full line position and dotted line position as shown in Fig. by blades 7 of the rotary guides 4 provided at the thread input sides of traversing fulcrum guides 8A, 8B. The thread 2A is swung into intermittent contact with a detection guide 5 of a tension detector 6. A tension signal corresponding to the tension of the thread 2A is produced by the tension detector 6 depending on the contact pressure of the thread on the detection guide 5. The tension signal is compared with a reference signal by a tension setting unit 14. Control power is generated by a power controller 15 depending on the difference between the signals and supplied to a motor 11 to control the rotation of the spindles 10A, 10B to wind the threads thereon at the constant tension.
