Abstract

PURPOSE: To aim at making the cutting work more efficient and energy-saving by automating the cramping and releasing of a throw-away tip.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure fluid is fed from the supply hole 17 and the piston 11 and slider 8 unified with it abvance to heave the rear end 7 of lever 5 with the slant 9. On this condition, the lever's front end pulls down the draw-in pin 2 fixing the tip 1, which is cramped by a shank 3 to perform the cutting work. When the tip is to be released, the pressure system is switched over to another supply hole 18. The front end of lever 5 is heaved by the piston's 11 and the slider's 8 moving back, and the pin 2 is raised up by a spring 13 to release the cramp of the tip 1.
