Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease triming amount and adjust width of film freely by setting the temperature of at least one end of a slit under the curing point of thermoplastic resin and forming the curing layer of the resin at the end part.
CONSTITUTION: When fused crystalline thermoplastic resin is pushed out of the slit and cured and undrawn film is prepared, the temperature of at least one end of the slit is set under the curing point of thermoplastic resin (20°C under the curing point, preferable), the curing layer is formed at the end and the film is produced. It is possible to bring the end part of the slit under the curing point of the extruded resin by circulating a refrigerant through a cooling device fitted around the end of the slit and flowing compressed air to the regulating bolt hole at the site corresponding to the slit part and cooling the undrawn film. The thickness and width of the trimming part of the film can be reduced by this method.
