Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish the replacement of the filter quickly with a simple operation by arranging a plurality of ink passages connected to the filter to be selectively opened or closed by the first set and the second set of valve devices. CONSTITUTION:When the filter 7 is replaced, a new filter is connected between the ink outflow port 16c of the first change-over valve 16 and the ink inflow port 17c of the second change-over valve 17. Rotary valve bodies 16d and 17d of the change-over valves 16 and 17 are turned to form an ink passage covering the pipe 16a, the ink outflow port 16c, the new filter, the ink inflow port 17c and the pipe 15b. At this point, the old filter is removed from the change-over valves 16 and 17. In this manner, the filter replacement can be done by such a simple operation that ink is passed through the new filter by switching the change-over valve and then, the old one is removed being cut from the ink passage.
