Abstract
PURPOSE: To form an antique colored coating film making verdigris on the surface of ware in a short time, by applying copper powder solution pasting agent and synthetic adhesives on the surface of the ware to be coated except copper ware and then, applying rusting solution, such as ammonium chloride etc., after drying.
CONSTITUTION: Copper powder solution mainly composed of copper powder and blended pasting agent, synthetic adhesives, water etc., is applied on the surface of ware, such as hardware, ceramic ware, glassware, except copper ware and a uniform coating film is formed. Next, rusting solution contained only ammonium chloride or added one or more of ammonium carbonate or copper nitrate, copper sulfate and dissolved in water, is applied after dying and copper component in the ground copper film is rusted and verdigris is made. Application of copper powder solution and rusting solution, is repeated about two or three time, if necessary. Antique colored coating verdigris film suitable for the ware, is formed by changing light and shade of color and color tone freely according to the selection of using rusting solution.
