Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve durability and dispersibility of magnetic powder, by permitting a magnetic coating material to contain modified polyurethane resin, containing essentially molecules having hydroxyl group, and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer at positions other than both terminals of principal chain as binder components of the magnetic coating material. CONSTITUTION:As the binder component of a magnetic coating material, modified polyurethane resin containing essentially molecules with hydroxyl group at positions other than both terminals of principal chain is used. Consequently, the dispersibility of magnetic powder can be improved as well as durability, and further electromagnetic conversion characteristics, such as the output and SN ratio, can be improved more by using the modified polyurethane resin and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer in combination.
