Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A magnetic toner is prepared by dispersing a magnetic substance in butadiene-modified solid epoxy resin and polyethylene wax as binding resin, and by the synergystic effect of the epoxy resin and wax the occurrence of offset is prevented. The epoxy resin has ≥800 no. average mol.wt., and the amount of butadiene used is 2W50wt%. The polyethylene wax has 0.92W0.97 density and 110W 130°C softening point. Thus, the resulting toner shows superior heat stability, fluidity and image quality.
