Abstract
PURPOSE: Titled composition giving a molded product, tough and excellent in coatability, which comprises an α,β-ethylenic unsaturated polyester, a dialkyl alkenylsuccinate and a polymerizable monomer.
CONSTITUTION: 40W70pts.wt. of an α,β-ethylenic unsaturated polyester (A) are dissolved in a liquid mixture (B) composed of 60W20pts.wt. of a di(2W8C)-alkyl alkenylsuccinate (a), obtained by the reaction of an alkenylsuccinic acid (anhydride) with a 2W8C alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst at 50W120°C for 2W 6hr and of 0W30pts.wt. of a polymerizable monomer (b) other than (a), such as styrene or divinylbenzene.
