Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fiber unit of high reliability by adhering a highly adhesive and elastic synthetic resin material around a tension member, disposing linear resin materials of the same quality and a plurality of fiber strands around the same and heating the same to melt.
CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin layer 10 of highly elastic and adhesive nylon or silicone rubber is formed concentrically around a tension member 9 of copper wire or glass fiber. Thence, fiber strands 12 and materials 11 made by forming the material of the same quality as that of the synthetic resin layer 10 are disposed one after another on this layer 10 and while these are twisted, heat is applied to melt the material 11 and further these are coated thereon with a material 11a of the same quality. As a result, exertion of wasteful force upon the fiber strands 12 per se is obviated, and since the qualities of the synthetic resin materials 10, 11, 11a are same, these fuse together and the fiber strands 12 are perfectly buried without any space.
