Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent that noxious gas produced in underfloor pits formed under the floor of drain boards in a pigpen is scattered to the entire space of the pigpen, by extending a duct through the underfloor pits, and ventilating the duct by means of a ventilating fan.
CONSTITUTION: A longitudinal duct 4 is formed along the length of pig rooms 3 in the manner that it is extended under the floor along a central passage 2. Underfloor pits 6 formed under the floor of drain boards 5 in respective pig rooms 3 are communicated to the duct 4 through ventilating ports 7 and the inner space of the duct 4 is ventilated by a ventilating fan 9 provided in a pigpen 1. By the function of this ventilating fan 9, air drawing force is acted in the underfloor pits 6 of respective rooms 3 via duct 4 and ventilating ports 7, so that open air is introduced from air inlet ports 10 into the pigpen 1 and caused to flow toward the underfloor pits 6 of respective pig rooms 3.
