Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a detection of a correct amount of solar radiation responding to only an actual solar radiation by a method wherein a solar radiation amount detector is covered by a window member having an extinctional function and a spectral function permitting penetration of light within an area of a long wavelength contributing greatly to a rising of a room temperature. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner for a vehicle is constituted so that temperature- conditioned air is blown out into a room by a method wherein a temperature regulating damper 4 in a duct 1 is controlled in opening and closing thereof by an output of a controlling system 7 through an actuator 6. The above-described controlling system 7 inputs output signals from a solar radiation amount detector 8 and other detectors to produce a controlling signal. In this case, the solar radiation amount detector 8 is covered by a window member consisting of an extinction filter 11 and a spectral filter 12 responsible for an extinctional function and a spectral function respectively. The extinction filter 11 is made of transparent or white and semitransparent resin or glass and a surface roughening treatment is effected on the surface thereof. The spectral filter 12 is made of colored glass in a warm color series and a glass permitting penetration of a light beam within an area of a relatively long wavelength is employed thereto.
