Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A carboxylate shown by the formula I (X is cyclopropyl, trialkylsilyl, lower alkylthio, cyano, or alkenyl; R1 is H or cyano; R2 is a group shown by the formula II or III).
EXAMPLE: Cyano(6-phenoxy-2-pyridyl) methyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-(p-cyclopropylphenyl)cyclopropanecarbocylate.
USE: An insecticede and acaricide. Effective against various noxious insects, especially against sanitary noxious insects and agricultural and gardening noxious insects.
PROCESS: A carboxylic acid shown by the formula IV or its reactive derivative is reacted with an alcohol shown by the formula V, its halide, or sulfoxylate to give a compound shown by the formula I.
