Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the breakage of a torch electrode and anomalous welding of base metals by so controlling the phases of the output current that they become constant with each cycle of positive and negative of an AC electric power source.
CONSTITUTION: The detection signal obtained by detecting the welding current in a current transformer CT then converting the same to a voltage in a current-voltage converting resistance R1 is insulated by an insulation transformer T2 and the voltage induced in its secondary winding is screened by each half cycle of positive and negative of the AC electric power source by diodes D1, D2. Both signals are then inputted via detecting resistances R6, R7 to comparing amplifiers A1, A2. On the other hand, the reference voltage of a reference electric power source E is held inputted to both comparing amplifiers A1, A2. A thyristor TY1 is phase-controlled by the firing signal of a phase shifter PC by the output signal of the amplifier A1 and a thyristor Y2 is phase-controlled by the firing signal of the phase shifter PC by the output signal of the amplifier A2. The output of a output control part 2 is subjected to constant current controlling by every half cycle of positive and negative of the AC electric power source by these two feedback control systems.
