Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of unbalance at the impeller of a small turbo machine, by positioning the impeller such that it is held in abutment with a stopper at one end thereof, and shrinkage fitting an impeller holding means at the other end portion of the impeller in the manner that the impeller holding means is held in abutment with the impeller.
CONSTITUTION: A thrust collar 20 and a spacer 22 are fitted successively on a turning shaft 18 in the manner that the thrust collar 20 is held in abutment with a shoulder portion 18' of the turning shaft 18. The shoulder part 18' provide a stopper for restricting the axial position of the impeller 14 which is fitted on the shaft 18. Further, a holding cap 26 in the form of a revolution symmetrical body is shrinkage fitted at a diameter-reduced free end part 18A of the shaft 18, whereby part 18A is projected outward from the impeller 14, and the impeller 14 can be clamped tightly between the holding cap 26 and the shoulder part 18' on the shaft 18. Here, the internal diameter of the cap 26 is selected to provide a proper interference to the outer diameter of shaft 18A, in consideration of their thermal expansion caused by temperature change during operation of the machine. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of unbalance at the impeller of the turbo machine.
