Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase cooling efficiency at cylinder heads, cylinders, etc. by disposing guide covers guiding a wind generated by the revolution of a pulley along the upper surfaces of the cylinder heads.
CONSTITUTION: When a pulley 16 is turned in the counter-clockwise direction, a wind generated by the revolution of the pulley 16 flows as shown in a solid line arrow in the figure by the existence of guide covers 20, and flows along the upper surfaces of cylinder heads 14 and the dead angle flanks of cylinders 1. Thus, cooling efficiency to the cylinders 13 and the cylinder heads 14 is improved because the cylinders and the cylinder heads are forcedly cooled through these surfaces. Since the guide covers 20 are supported by means of excellent heat transmitting supporting members 22 mounted to the upper surfaces of the cylinder heads 14 in projecting shapes, heat is transmitted to the guide covers 20 through said supporting members 22 from the cylinder heads 14, and heat is radiated from said supporting members 22 and the guide plates 20, thus further increasing cooling efficiency.
