Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled zinc alloy powder with enhanced adhesiveness with a metal substrate and a coating and enhanced corrosion resistance of the coating comprising containing at least one of sixteen kinds of elemental component such as Ni, Mg, Cu or Si in a predetermined ratio respectively.
CONSTITUTION: In the wt% basis, the zinc alloy powder for the mechanical plating comprises at least one of the component selected from Ni≤5.0, Mg≤3.0, Cu≤3.0, Si≤2.0, Ti≤1.5, Sb≤1.0, Ag≤1.0, Cr≤0.5, Be≤0.5, Ca≤0.1, Co≤0.1, Na≤0.1, K≤0.1, In≤0.1, Li≤0.05 and S≤0.05 and the balance of Al. Said alloy powder is prepared by a method wherein a predetermined amount of said element to be added is added to the zinc ground metal to adjust the alloy composition and, thereafter, the resulting composition is pref. subjected to an atomization method. Thereby, the fine zinc alloy powder with a particle size of 1W20μm, especially, 5W10μm is obtd.
