Abstract

PURPOSE: To securely transmit the motion of a pulse motor to a printing head by a method wherein a belt is pressure-contacted to a driving pulley for it by pressing a pressure-contacting member against the driving pulley.
CONSTITUTION: The belt 4 is pressure-contacted to the driving pulley 6 by a pressure-contacting member 9 so as to prevent a skip from occurring between the belt 4 and the pulley 6. It is effective to arrange the pressure-contacting member 9 and the driving pulley 6 in such a manner that they are contacted to each other at a point on such a radius of the pulley 6 as to form an angle θ (where 0°≤θ≤90°) with the line connecting the axes of the two pulleys, the angle being measured from said line as a reference toward the position at which the head 2 is fitted to the belt.
