Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled mixture having good moldability and providing moldings having high rigidity and toughness, prepared by mixing a polyol containing OH groups on both terminals with ethylene glycol and an aniline/ethylene oxide adduct.
CONSTITUTION: The titled mixture prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. polyol, MW 2,000W8,000, having OH groups on at least both terminals (polyether-polyol, polyester-polyol) with 2W40pts.wt. ethylene glycol and 2W40pts.wt. aniline/ ethylene oxide adduct (ethylene oxide added 1W4mol/mol aniline). This mixture is reacted with an aromatic polyisocyanate (e.g., tolylene diisocyanate) in the presence of a catalyst (e.g., triethylenediamine) to produce moldings having high rigidity and toughness. This reaction is carried out with good moldability by means of reaction injection molding, casting, solvent molding or the like.
