Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing steps of a yoke for a step motor of a timepiece by forming a hole for exciting a rotor in a shape having a stepwise semicircle, and forming a low magnetic permeable part which is made of a shearing layer from the stepwise part to the outer periphery, thereby magneticaly isolating right and left yokes and mechanically coupling them. CONSTITUTION:Mounting holes for magnetically coupling with a coil are formed at both ends of a yoke for a step motor. A hole 8 for magnetizing a rotor is opened nearly at the center. This hole 8 is formed in a shape having a stepwise semicircle, and is formed with a low magnetic permeable part which is made of a shearing layer from the stepwise part 3 to the outer periphery.
