Abstract
PURPOSE:To allow output/input relation, based upon control data and a bias voltage, to approximate to an A-curve or D-curve polygonal line by varying the resistance value of the final bit of an R-2R ladder resistance network. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with digital control data from a control data generating circuit 3, a switching circuit 4 consisting of switching means S1, S2-Sn is switched to input an analog signal Sin and a bias voltage to an R-2R ladder resistance netwrok 5. Part of the resistance network up to the (n-1)th bit is regarded as a normal R-2R ladder resistance network, and a resistance B1 or B2[alpha; (Sout-Vb)/(Sin-Vb)] is connected to a resistance A1 by a switch controlled by control data which corresponds to the (n)th bit without varying the resistance RA of the (n)th bit. Further, the resistance A1 or A2 is connected to the resistance B1 without varying the resistance RB.
