Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain soil having improved soil properties such as strength and stability in common engineering works, by treating viscous soil containing organic substances with a hydraulic material and a nitrate.
CONSTITUTION: Viscous soil containing organic substances(e.g., KANTO loam, etc.) is blended with a hydraulic material such as slaked lime, lime, cement, etc. and about 2W10wt% based on dry soil amount of a nitrate(e.g., sodium nitrate, etc.). The addition of a substance containing alumina or silica to the nitrate in case soil properties need it can improve the treatment effect.
