Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a black water-based ink composition giving a clear and blot-resistant record having excellent fastness to light, and suitable for printing, writing utensils, or recording instruments, by using a plurality of water-soluble dyes each represented by a specific formula in combination.
CONSTITUTION: The objective ink is prepared by dissolving (A) a water-soluble dye of formulaI[Z1 is atom group forming benzene nucleus or naphthalene nucleus; Z2 is atom group forming naphthalene nucleus; Q is H, alkali metal cation, NH4 +, or organic quaternary ammonium cation; n and m are 0, 1, 2 or 3; (n+m) is 1, 2, 3 or 4; M1 is Cu, Co, Cr or Ni], (B) a water-soluble dye of formula II [Z3 is same as Z1; R1 is phenyl, substituted phenyl, alkyl or aralkyl; R2 is alkyl, phenyl, etc.; p is 0, 1, 2 or 3; q is 0, 1 or 2; (p+q) is 1, 2, 3 or 4; M2 is same as M1], and (C) a wetting agent, in water. The sum of the components (A) and (B) is 1.0W6wt%.
