Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover denitrating function of a catalyst with a simple apparatus without stopping the apparatus by separating a denitration reactor which rotates moderately together with a cylindrical casing which is included in the reactor and packed with the catalyst into a denitration room and a regenerative room using rinsing through a gas seal. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas from an incinerator for city dust is mixed with ammonium and sent to pipe 2. When a layer packed with a catalyst 18 in a cylindrical casing 16 which moderately rotates intermittently or continuously passes a denitration room 13 through a regenerative room 14, the said mixed waste gas is penetrated into the layer 18 through the denitration room 13 from the pipe 2, reducing NOX in the waste gas. Although the denitration ratio of the catalyst 18 is reduced gradually and, when the waste gas including dust containing alkali metal is treated especially, the denitration ratio is reduced suddenly, the layer packed with the catalyst 18 reaches the room 14 after operating the apparatus for a subscribed period and is washed away by jet water at passing through the room 14, recovering the denitrating function.
