Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the gas lighter which acquires a stable flame all the year round even when there is no flow rate regulating valve and can be used safely by mounting an adsorbing member.
CONSTITUTION: The adsorbing member 7 adsorbs a fuel gas up to the saturation point under the saturation pressure of the fuel gas during the time when a rubber valve 6 closes a gas flow path. When the valve 6 is opened, however, the gas is desorbed at fixed speed because the upper surface pressure drops up to atmospheric pressure, and the gas desorbed passes between a nozzle 5 and a nozzle case 4 and in a flow path formed in the nozzle 5, is ejected from an upper end of the nozzle 5, is ignited by means of an igniter 3 and is burnt. On the other hand, the gas diffuse upward in the adsorbing member 7, thus continuously supplying combustion gas. A sucking wick 23 keeps a lower surface of the adsorbing member 7 under a wet condition at all times. The flow rate of the gas is decided by the speed of desorption at an upper end section of the adsorbing member 7 and the speed of diffusion of gas molecules in the member 7.
