PURPOSE:To make time control for the extension and reduction of an execution cycle possible by installing means to change the cycle of a clock signal, supply the information on the rate of the change and trasmit the changed means to an execution part. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal 1 from the external is set up in a clock input circuit 2 and transmitted to a divideder circuit 4 with a variable dividing rate through a signal line 11. In an operation control circuit 8 which executes an instruction on the basis of a program, the processing cycle is decided by the dividing output 7 and the circut 8 executes the prescribed operation synchronously with the signal 7. The circuit 8 incorporates a clock division instruction setting and translating circuit 9 and the dividing rate information selected by the circuit 9 is set up in a clock dividing rate information holding circuit 6. The circuit 6 specifies the dividing rate to the circuit 4 according to the information specified from the circuit 9 and holds the dividing rate information until the change of the dividing rate is specified from the circuit 9. The circuit 4 changes the clock cycle on the basis of the dividing rate information from the circuit 6 and supplied the changed information to the circuit 8.
